A report by SmartAsset ranks states on their drivers based on several metrics. Ohio is ranked 12th best in the nation while Kentucky is ranked ninth worst. SmartAsset looks at several metrics including DUI arrests for 1,000 drivers, percentage of insured drivers and fatalities per 100 million vehicle miles driven.
Findings include:

- 87% Ohio drivers insured.
- 53 DUI arrests per 1,000 drivers
- 01 fatalities per 100 million vehicle miles traveled.
Kentucky:
- 86% Kentucky drivers insured.
- 14 DUI arrests per 1,000 drivers
- 48 fatalities per 100 million vehicle miles traveled.
