For Cincinnati people who are injured in car crashes and the loved one who are left behind after a fatality, the reality of the situation hits hard. As much as Ohioans try not to think about it, auto accidents can occur at any time for a multitude of reasons both incidental and due to recklessness or intoxication. They can result in catastrophic injuries, extensive hospital stays and even death. Often, the only solace to take is by seeking compensation through a legal filing.

An accident on the Combs-Hehl Bridge that separates Cincinnati, Ohio and Campbell County, Kentucky resulted in the death of a 41-year-old man. The accident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. as the deceased man’s 2003 Pontiac Grand AM was rear-ended by a 2008 Dodge Caliber driven by a 35-year-old man. The driver of the Dodge was also critically injured and hospitalized. He faces charges for aggravated vehicular homicide and vehicular homicide as he is believed to have been speeding and driving while impaired.

With a car accident, there are many factors that must be taken into consideration in its aftermath. With injuries, the family will be confronted with the potential for long-term issues with expenses, care and treatment of the victim. The person who was hurt might no longer be able to function as before, nor will he or she be able to contribute to the household in a similar fashion. If there is a death, there will be funeral costs, the emotional upheaval and the possible loss of financial contributions. With all of the issues that can arise after an accident, it is imperative to know one’s rights to pursue litigation.

In this accident, a man was driving over the Combs-Hehl Bridge when his vehicle was hit from behind by an allegedly speeding car driven by a person who is believed to have been impaired. Given the circumstances of this car accident, it is important that the deceased man’s family understand their rights to pursue compensation with help from an attorney experienced in cases due to car crashes.
