Ohio State Highway Patrol hosts Motorcycle Safety Event

The Ohio Department of Public Safety will be kicking off Motorcycle Awareness Month with a public service event in Columbus.

With an increase in motorcycle fatalities between 2011 and 2013, the Ohio State Highway patrol has been increasing its efforts to educate riders. Between 2011 and 2013, 470 riders were killed and over 11, 000 injured.

The “May Motorcycle Awareness Kick-off” will be held at the Quaker Steak and Lube in Columbus, OH. You can see the poster for the event at the Ohio public safety web site here.
