Women Led Interfaith Prayer Service And Post Event Media
I thought you might like to know that…
More than 300 people from various faiths and backgrounds came together on Wednesday, December 16, 12:30pm, on Fountain Square in downtown Cincinnati, for a women led interfaith prayer service in support of peace and unity in our community. AJC Cincinnati, the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati, and Christ Church Cathedral hosted women leaders of various faiths and backgrounds as they joined voices in condemning the recent onslaught of hatred and intolerance. Ten faith communities were represented, including Jewish, Muslim, Baptist, Buddhist, Catholic, Episcopalian, Hindu, Mormon, Sikh, and Unitarian.
MUSE, an inclusive and feminist choral community advocating for peace and social justice, performed.
Thanks to all of you who were able to attend the event.
And a special thank you goes to Michele Young, AJC board member, who conceived the idea. And Michele, Sandy Kaltman, AJC board member, and Shakila Ahmad, president of the Islamic Center of Cincinnati, for helping implement this impactful program.
Take a look at some of the great press we received.
