Ohio Supreme Court Schedules Speed Camera Arguments

The Justices of the Ohio Supreme court scheduled to hear arguments on Toledo’s Speed Cameras on June 11, court records indicate. This is another chapter in the ongoing saga involving speed cameras in Ohio.

Critics of speed cameras claim that the sue of these devices does not affect public safety, and a difficult-to-navigate administrative system to challenge speed camera tickets deprives drivers their Due Process rights. several municipalities in Ohio have had issues with their traffic cameras, involving a total of several million dollars in tickets.

There are currently cases involving speed cameras in Hamilton County and Dayton, with several towns already having had their cameras shut off by court order.
