Cathy J. Datema

Cathy J. Datema joined the firm in July of 1999 as a legal assistant, and worked her way up in the office as manager and full-time law clerk while attending Salmon P. Chase College of Law as a part-time student. Cathy joined the firm as an associate in May of 2007 concentrating on personal injury law.

Cathy speaks fluent Dutch and English as she was born and raised in the Netherlands and immigrated to America on the 4th of July, 1996.

Cathy earned her B.S. in Political Science with Summa Cum Laude Honors from Northern Kentucky University (2002) and a J.D. in Law from Salmon P. Chase College of Law (2006). While at Northern Kentucky University, Cathy was honored with the National Dean’s List Award 1999-2000 and 2000-2001 and the Golden Key International Honour Society.

As a member of Phi Alpha Delta during Law school, Cathy volunteered with Paint the Town to spruce up the homes of senior and disabled homeowners in Cincinnati who are no longer able to maintain their homes. She also volunteered at the Women’s Connection in Cincinnati, Ohio, in which she mentored underprivileged children while engaging them in summer activities.

Cathy is a member of the Cincinnati Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Cathy is admitted to the practice of law in Ohio.
